Our breakdown and recovery partner, The AA have provided an update on their processes to ensure drivers and staff are kept as safe as possible in the event of a call-out.
If your vehicle is on a maintenance contract with Days Fleet, please pay attention to the following information.
What has changed
The AA have already taken steps to maintain their service at the roadside, but clients may experience a longer wait than usual when calling requesting assistance through our 24/7 DriverLine – 0345 296 4423.
AA patrols on the road are following social distancing guidelines and are only working if they are fit and well. They’re also following the latest hygiene advice, using protective gloves and their vans are well stocked with cleaning products.
When you call for assistance, you will be given a unique tracking link to follow the progress of their Patrol on their smartphone. Please encourage everyone to use this link so they can remain informed and avoid unnecessary time waiting on the phone.
Your safety is our priority, so if you or one of your drivers have been diagnosed with or come into contact with COVID-19, or if they’re self-isolating, they should call us on 0345 296 4423 and let us know when reporting a breakdown.
This will let the AA assess the situation as quickly as possible. They have a dedicated team in place to handle these cases to reduce the risk of exposure to our AA members of staff and ensure they are still able to help as many people as possible.
Should you need any further assistance, please call our 24/7 DriverLine on 0345 296 4423.
