Days Fleet staff have nominated two charities to support during 2016.

Staff plan to raise money with a variety of fund raising events throughout the year including buying goods at the office ‘tuck shop’, a Christmas raffle and auction along with other fundraising activities.

For the fourth year in succession the Swansea-based Tŷ Olwen Trust is being supported and Marie Curie Cancer Care will also receive a share of the proceeds for the second year running.

In 2015 we raised over £2,500 for the Tŷ Olwen Trust, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the RNLI.

The Tŷ Olwen Trust, which was formed in 1981 with the purpose of supporting the Tŷ Olwen Hospice, a specialist palliative care unit at Morriston Hospital in Swansea and its community and hospital teams.

Marie Curie Cancer Care is one of the UK’s largest charities. Employing more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, it provided care to more than 31,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in its nine hospices last year and is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS.

In 2015 we raised over £2,500 for the Tŷ Olwen Trust, Marie Curie Cancer Care and the RNLI.
